One of the hottest issue these days, particularly in Bulacan State University is the "haircut policy", where students are required to have a hair-cut prescribed by the new administration under Mrs. Cecilia Gascon.
According to some professors and most students of BulSU, the said policy is unreasonable in a way the hair cut of a person could never affect a person's performance, specifically, in academic subjects or matters. And besides, the admin must not focus too much in such kind of policy because there are obviously bigger problems that need more attention such as; promoting quality education and developing the facilities inside the university like libraries and classrooms, than bossing people about what hairstyle they must have.
The said issue were criticized in social media sites and were discussed inside and out the university vicinity. Some BulSU graduates had already shared there thoughts about the issue and pointed that they are now already professionals in their chosen fields without such kind of policy.
On the contrary, there are still number of people who strongly agree with the said policy. For them, executing haircut policy is necessary for it may serve as a traing to people on how to be a good citizen of the nation. They think that policy as such is a good way to discipline students and to prepare them in much bigger rules they may encounter in the near future. If students are trained to be used in practicing simple rules, it would be easier for them to follow other rules, or in a bigger picture, the laws.
